August 25 Well blow me downRight on time Yahoo
headlines a little about the Russian passengers we flew the other
day....
Trump
isn't the only billionaire who has thrown a glamorous and glitzy wedding. With
wedding season in full swing, we decided to take a look back at some billionaire
weddings to find out who besides Trump knows how to throw truly spectacular
celebrations.
One particularly memorable affair was that of Russian billionaire Andrei Melnichenko and his bride-to-be, the former Miss Yugoslavia, Aleksandra Kokotovic. Melnichenko flew in both Whitney Houston and Christina Aguilera to perform at the September 2005 event, which took place on France's breathtaking Cote d'Azur. The affair was so over-the-top that rumors circulation that Melnichenko had a Russian chapel dismantled, shipped and rebuilt in France. Blimey -- August 20 Imagine my surpriseWell I think I have had the dumb question to end all dumb questions, although this morning came close...
Two days ago whilst high and looking down at the Mara river meandering towards the border and then Lake Victoria I was asked if it was, "Man Made!"
I kid you not a genuine question for which I did not have an answer.
This morning was a immediately picked up by the perpetrator.. once again high up.. what's that big white animal moving along the river bank.... that would be a polar bear madam (thank goodness I did have an answer this time) Looked an awful lot like a big Toyota at low level.
Anyhow the weight issue now worries me and its no more beer and more walking around the football pitch to try and get it off.
The trouble with living in a luxury lodge in Africa is that you have to eat the luxury food, well alright you don't HAVE TO but you do. My already large waistline is not happy. Oh to be 16 again when I never weighed more than 75kgs seems impossible. August 16 Some people have all the luckWell the celeb was......
A young (36) Russian billionaire and his girlfriend.
The two of them and their yoga instructor(!) flew with me this morning and what a blinder they had.
I had been asked to fly them over Wildebeest which we managed easily as there are so many on paradise plain and then the young lady wanted to see big crocs. Mother nature once more provided, deep joy.
On landing next to a place we call, triangle bush, we discovered lions sleeping in said triangle bush and from there Cheetah with cubs.
Of course as normal we had seen elephant and buffalo so within the first hour we had seen three of the big five.
So off to a separate breakfast for them and then down to the river to see what was happening.
As mentioned before had seen stacks of wildebeest heading off to the river.
Within 5 minutes of arriving a massive crossing.
Then drive home, rhino.
So four of the five within the first 4 hours of their first day, and a big crossing of the Mara River.
Some of us wait weeks for that sort of viewing.
August 14 Just how annoying can spaces beTrying to add photos and video and really can't make it work.
Celebrity or Businessman coming day after tommorrow, helicopter and yoga instructor.
Wonder who it will be.
August 10 HeathrowTerrible feeling of
deja vu today.
I was in Kenya, at
Taita Hills for 911.
My boss at the time
was driving down to have a meeting about the future of the outfit and as the
story unfolded we knew all plans and bets were off.
The managers have
sat in my house today watching BBC and CNN.
Lets hope that
people keep travelling.
Well done the UK
police though for sorting that one out though.
Whilst on depressing
news, I hopped up onto the scales yesterday and have actually put weight on here
this time.
